Classy centreman who was of exemplary character, and was a great leader on and off the field playing with Windsor. Won the De Little Medal three times in the 1930s after also picking up the competition’s Reserves medal as a teenager. He and Doug Pittard are Queensland’s only triple medalists. Was captain during his club’s astonishing era of five flags in a row from 1936-40. Represented Queensland between 1934-39 and led the Maroons in 1938.
