44 person squad for QAFL Team of the Year named

AFL Queensland can announce the squad of 44 players that are in contention for selection in the 2024 QAFL Team of the Year.

The final team of 22, will be selected as if to play a match, with the players in the squad recognised as leading across all parts of the field – forwards, defenders and midfielders/rucks. The QAFL Team of the Year will be named at the Grogan-Zielke Awards night on Sunday, 8 September.

Aspley had the most players selected in the squad with seven, followed by Morningside, Palm Beach Currumbin, Surfers Paradise and Wilston Grange each with five.

Club representation in the squad:  Aspley (7); Morningside, Palm Beach Currumbin, Surfers Paradise and Wilston Grange (5); Broadbeach, Labrador, Maroochydore, Redland-Victoria Point and Sherwood (3); Noosa (2).
