The Western Magpies QAFL Senior side is in a strong position for season 2019 with returning coach Brydan Morgan in his 3rd year in charge and a strong core senior list that has developed and grown over consecutive 6th place finishes in 2017/18 with a young developing list, largely made up of local juniors.
With some strong top end recruiting to supplement the developing young list, a strong Reserves side in 2018 and a Colts program that delivered a QAFL Colts Premiership in 2018 after a runners up finish in 2017 – the Senior side is brimming with available talent ready and willing to take the next step in QAFL Football.
Many former Magpie Assistant Coaches are now in Senior Coaching roles in both the QAFL and across many QFA Division 1, 2 and 3 clubs – showing a clear pathway for not just development of talented footballers at the Magpies, but also talented coaches.
