We have an exciting and rare opportunity for a Full-time Business Operations Manager to join our team!
AFL Cape York’s (AFLCY’s) mission is to strengthen resilience, provide positive life experience and opportunities to Indigenous Australians through culturally appropriate education, sporting and wellbeing pathways.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Operations Manager is an integral part of the leadership team. Responsible for planning and managing the day-to-day administrative operations of AFLCY, with a focus on governance, budgeting and financial administration, grant management and acquittals, human resources, asset management, risk and compliance. The Business Operations Manager provides executive support to the General Manager whilst building capacity of finance and administration employees.
To be successful for this role, you will possess:
▪ High-level leadership, financial and administrative experience with working knowledge of:
- office management policies, procedures, contractual/legislative/statutory requirements
- financial and asset management principles
- Workplace Health and Safety
▪ Strong time management, prioritising and organisational skills
▪ Excellent communication and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures
▪ Interpersonal skills with a proven history of forging strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
▪ Basic knowledge of the principles of human resource management
▪ Proficient in the use of MS Office suite of programs, and Xero (or similar) accounting system
▪ Possess a current Queensland Working with Children Check “Blue Card” and Queensland C class driver’s licence
