While the German town of Monchengladbach is not traditionally known for its AFL players, two brothers named Urner might just change that.
15-year-old Finn and his 14-year-old brother Lassa have been visiting Airlie Beach with their parents Jutta and Winfrid for the past eleven years.
During one of their Summer school holiday trips the Monchengladbach locals were bitten by the AFL bug.
Since then, they have trained and racked-up more than a few games with the Whitsunday Sea Eagles, playing with the Under 13s team in 2010 and 2011 and the Under 15s this season.
Finn and Lassa love their AFL and over the years have gained some pretty slick skills.
Playing footy with the Sea Eagles has become a major highlight of the boys’ trips to Oz; the club makes them extremely welcome each year and they have formed close friendships with their Aussie team-mates.
