The AFL South Pacific Region is the largest of the International regions reaching close to 40,000 in 2022.
The region encompasses 6 AFL Affiliates which conduct AFL Development programs across each country:
- PNG
- Fiji
- Vanuatu
- Nauru
- Solomon Islands; and
- Tonga
Our Development programs are mirrored from AFL Queensland programs and focuses on the AFL Auskick program at introductory level, School & Youth competitions across each country and then heading into Community Senior competitions. The South Pacific High Performance pathway connects directly through AFL QLD with the male and female age groups from U/14 through to U/19 competing in Queensland Talent Academy competitions. The South Pacific High Performance Pathway is proudly supported by the Australian Government PacificAus Sports Program.
