AFL Queensland QFA Competition Manager Joshua Rhodes congratulated all clubs who had secured a spot in the finals.
“We are so excited to have reached finals, particularly after all clubs have had a fairly tumultuous year with floods, COVID and flu,” he said.
“In the QFA Division 1 and Division 3 competitions, we will see a Top 5 Finals setup.
“The Division 1 HART Sport Cup Seniors competition has been interesting viewing all year, with competition super tight for those five spots. We will have a new premier in 2022 and it really could be any of those five teams.
“I wish all teams well and look forward to watching some great footy tonight and tomorrow.”
Week 1 of the Youth Football Finals competition also kicks off tonight. Over the course of the weekend 88 finals will be played across 17 venues with 176 teams competing.
