Meet Tina from Bakers Creek AFC NAB AFL Auskick Program.
She is a first year Auskick Coordinator and is doing an amazing job up north ensuring her Auskickers are enjoying themselves and learning about Aussie Rules! Thanks for all your hard work, Tina, you rock!
We had the opportunity to ask her a few questions regarding her program…
How many years in Auskick/Club?
This is my first term as an Auskick co-ordinator and I’m loving every minute of it! I have been heavily involved in our football club for the past 2 years since meeting my partner Ash, who is the president of our club. In the past I have always been a volunteering parent.
Why did you get involved in Auskick?
This year my family football club the Bakers Creek Tigers had an opening for an under 6s coach and Auskick co-ordinator so I jumped at the chance! I have worked with children in education settings for the past 24 years and this seemed such a natural progression- the fun side!
What is your favourite thing about Auskick?
The smiles! The smile when a child first tries something new! Or kicks the ball just the way they wanted! Or takes a mark! Learns a new term! And the best part? That smile when they run back to mum/dad to tell them how much fun they are having!
