South-East Queensland’s ‘Big Wet’ has forced the cancellation of two of the three NEAFL practice matches planned for this weekend.
The clash between Mt Gravatt and Broadbeach at Dittmer Park has been abandoned, as has Southport’s intraclub match slated for Fankhauser Reserve tonight.
The clash between Redland and the Brisbane Lions will go ahead, but with a venue change.
The match has been switched from Victoria Point to Coorparoo, but has the same starting time of 10.30am.
It means most clubs will have their first hit-out for the season in the opening round of the Club Aid Trophy tomorrow week.
