AFL Queensland will join with 7NEWS and 4BC this Wednesday March 28 to present Breakfast in the Suburbs.
4BC’s breakfast team Peter and Mary will be broadcasting live and Channel 7 news presenters Rod Young and Kay McGrath will be filming segments from this free community event.
Fans will have the opportunity to catch-up with Gold Coast SUNS and Brisbane Lions players ahead of the AFL’s opening round this weekend and team mascots Sunny Ray and Bernie ‘Gabba’ Vegas will be on hand to entertain the crowd.
Kids will also be able to test their football skills on AFLQ-run activities.
A free breakfast will be provided, although gold-coin donations will be graciously accepted with all proceeds going towards rebuilding the flood-damaged Sherwood AFL club.
Fans can join the fun from 6 am with activities running until 9am, just in time to get the kids to school.
AFL Queensland invites all football fans to come along to the Sherwood AFL Club (41 Chelmer St East, Chelmer) on Wednesday to enjoy Breakfast in the Suburbs.
