The Maroochydore Australian Football Club would like to announce the appointment of Brett Maloney as the senior club coach for next season.
Brett was the person best suited to lead the club into the new season and to continue the foundation work of former coach, Roger Delaney after a very thorough post season review of the Club and an intensive interview process.
“We are very excited to have Brett join the club at a time when the youth and talent at the Roos offers a great deal of promise for things to come,” President Craig Scrase said.
Brett comes to Maroochydore with vast experience in the South East Queensland Division One.
Having played over 150 games with Noosa AFC, Brett has also coached extensively at a high AFL level including: Under 18s, regional representative AFL and is the current Senior QLD Country Stockmen Representative Coach.
Brett’s history includes: member of the 1999, 2006 Noosa AFC Grand Final, 2001-2004 Senior Club Captain, 2005 Senior best and fairest, 2004-2007 Senior Coach Noosa AFC, 2008 Under 18 Suncoast Power Assistant Coach, Senior Assistant Coach and Reserves Coach at Aspley AFC, 2010 Under 18 Suncoast Power Co-Coach, 2010, 2012
Senior Coach Queensland Representative Team and 2011-2012 Under 18s Coach Noosa AFC.
The Roos are pleased to have Brett on board and look forward to the 2013 Season.
Maroochydore Australian Football Club will be holding their Annual General Meeting on Wednesday October 31 from 6pm at the Maroochydore Multi-Sport Complex, Fishermans Road, Maroochydore.
