BIG forward Danny Brewster shot to the top of the goalkicking list with a double-figure haul in the Sunshine Coast derby against Maroochy-Northshore at Fisherman’s Road on Saturday.

The key forward kicked 10 as Noosa ran all over the top of the Roos late for their 22.14 (146) to 5.6 (30) win.
Brewster now has 34 for the season, one ahead of Burleigh’s forward rover Nathan Sullivan.
As was expected, given Maroochy’s savagely depleted list this season, the Tigers had too much class around the ground, although it took them until the second quarter to get right on top after rain fell early in the match.
Noosa led 4.1 to 1.0 at quarter-time, then set up victory with a second-term burst of 6.7 to two goals.
A final quarter blast that netted them 9.1 to just four behinds from the Roos served to underline the vast chasm that currently exists between the competition’s northernmost clubs.
Diminutive Caleb Isles, short in stature but big in heart, was to the forefront of the Noosa charge, well supported by Brewster, last season’s grand final back pocket Tom McKittrick, playing in the centre on Saturday, and half-back Ryan Sawers.
Best for Maroochy were Kane Tyson, Jarrod Gale, Tyson Williams and Damon Chapman.
