Key Mt Gravatt forward Billy Cleary is facing a two-week layoff after being reported in last Saturday’s loss to the NT Thunder.
Cleary was booked for striking Matt Argus and was offered a one week penalty and 21 carryover points.
If accepted, it means he will not play again until July 10, when the Vultures travel to Aspley.
Mt Gravatt have a bye this weekend as a result of their Round 11 match against the Brisbane Lions being played the week before Round 1 began in a split fixture.
They travel to Labrador the following week to meet the red-hot Tigers.
There was bad news for the Western Magpies too at the match review panel meeting, with feisty midfielder-forward James Pennycuick accepting a one-match ban for striking Broadbeach’s Tayler Rolfe.
Pennycuick has only just re-established himself in the seniors after spending most of the year in the reserves.
He will miss Saturday’s home clash with Southport.
