Colt’s Coach – Kedron Lions AFC

Kedron AFC was formed in 1937 and has had some great success over that period in men’s football. In recent years the focus was expanded to bringing the same success to the women’s space.  This success was achieved in 2019 when our QFAW Division 1 team won’s the club’s first ever women’s premiership and our Division 2 North team finished a creditable sixth.

The club has now turned its attention to addressing the gap between the men’s and youths’ programs by providing a pathway between the two spaces.  To fill that gap the Kedron Football Club will be submitting an Expression of Interest to AFLQ for a licence to enter a Colts team in the 2020 competition as we believe we have the playing personnel and off-field support and resources to field a competitive side.

Central to making this exciting initiative work will be the Colts’ Coach who will have experience in working with young men and who can instil in them the club’s values of respect and fair play and also forge that vital link between the youth and senior programs, thus contributing to the continued success of our great club.

To be accepted for this role you will need to hold a minimum of Level 1 coaching accreditation or be willing to obtain the required accreditation, demonstrate leadership qualities, good communications skills and be able to work with a broad range of people.
