New look 2017 fixtures for the QAFL and QFA Colts competitions have now been released.
The fixtures align Colts teams to their senior counterparts in an effort to assist clubs in retaining players as well as transitioning them from junior to senior football.
There will be 20 clubs taking part in the two competitions, up from 19 in the 2016 season.
Making their first appearance in the refreshed Colts competitions this season will be Surfers Paradise, Jindalee, Moreton Bay, Redland and Springwood.
In the QFA Colts, Mayne, Zillmere and Kedron will form one team, which will be led by Mayne.
The age limits for the Colts competitions have also changed, from under 19 last year, to under 18 and a half this year. For season 2018 the transition stage will be complete and the age limit set to 18.
QAFL Colts teams include Broadbeach, Labrador, Morningside, Mt Gravatt, Palm Beach Currumbin, Sandgate, Surfers Paradise, Western Magpies and Wilson grange.
The QFA Colts competition will be made up of Aspley, Coloundra, Coorparoo, Jindalee, Maroochydore, Mayne/Zillmere/Kedron, Moreton Bay, Noosa, Redland, Southport and Springwood.
The QFA Colts kick off their season on April 1 and the QAFL Colts will get underway later, on April 22.
