The Coomera Magpies are looking forward to a bigger and better 2014.
Established only three years ago, the Magpies have made their mark on the local competition, winning the Division Three flag in 2013, before being elevated into the QFA (South) this season.
Coomera is hoping to field its first Colts team this season, bringing through the first batch of juniors into its senior ranks.
Magpies secretary, Lisa Forbes, said the club was looking to continue to grow both on and off the field.
“We are very proud to have had some players for their whole football experience and this is due to an environment where we all have the players’ best interests at heart,” she said.
“We encourage the enjoyment of football for all and work hard to develop their skills as players and as people.”
Forbes said the family friendly club, which has a relatively young playing list, would welcome new recruits and spectators with open arms.
“We encourage get-togethers outside of football to further enhance our social experience and make it more of a family experience,” she said.
“We are tucked away behind Dreamworld, so we’re a little bit hidden but Coomera is a rapidly growing area and we would love to see our club grow even further.”
