AFL Darling Downs will host a local season launch and sports night as part of the Brisbane Lions Australia Post AFL Community Camp in February.
The full Brisbane Lions playing and coaching group will join with the local AFL community and football fans to celebrate the upcoming AFL season.
The evening kicks-off at 6:30pm on Friday February 15 with the Lions players on hand to meet and mingle with guests arriving at Rumours Convention Centre.
Guests will then sit down to an evening of entertainment and a sumptuous two-course dinner.
There will be a minimum of one Brisbane Lion player on each table and they will rotate throughout the night to give fans a chance to meet and talk to as many of the group as possible.
Entertainment will include an on-the-couch interview panel featuring Lions Coach Michael Voss, Captain Jonathon Brown, Brownlow medalist Simon Black and Ash McGrath, as well as roving interviews with the player group.
The night also includes the official draw release for the Darlings Down’s competition and a Q & A session that will see Lions players’ interview local club presidents.
There will be a few special surprises on the night and you can try your luck with the raffle lucky door prizes and silent auctions.
