Sandgate coach, Rob Dickfos, has resigned as senior coach this week.
After discussions with the club’s board earlier this week, Dickfos stepped down from his position immediately, declining an offer to continue on for the remainder of the season.
Dickfos informed his assistant coaches and the playing group of his decision on Tuesday night before training.
The club is yet to appoint a replacement for Dickfos, ahead of Sunday’s match against Labrador.
Dickfos took up the Hawks coaching role at the start of 2013, leading it to a seventh- placed finish in last year’s Allied Pickfords Cup, before its elevation to the QAFL this season.
The Queensland AFL Hall of Famer has previously coached at Aspley, the Northern Eagles, Mayne and Redcliffe.
