Elimbah JAFC is looking to neam their new club before their first solo season in 2013.
Formed this season under the banner of the Caboolture JAFC, Elimbah has three teams in the AFL Brisbane juniors northern localised competition.
For season 2012, Elimbah is being mentored by members of the Caboolture JAFC before becoming a stand-alone club in 2013.
As such, Elimbah is running a competition to find a new name and mascot for the club.
Club members were given the option to design a new club jumper and mascot when they registered to play for the club at the beginning of the season.
Entries have been judged, a shortlist created and the competition is the talk of the town in Elimbah.
When voting closes next Monday, the club may find itself sharing a mascot with the AFL’s newest franchise (the Giants), NEAFL powerhouse the NT Thunder or creating their own identity as the Elimbah Echidnas.
Suggested designs for the club jumper range from the conservative through to the creative with even the team colours left up to the designer.
Voting for the Elimbah team mascot closes on Monday June 11 at 5pm.
