Footy super-fan Jackson recruited to Team NAB AFL Auskick

Team NAB AFL Auskick has its ninth recruit of the year, with seven-year-old Jackson Chamberlain from the Coorparoo Junior Australian Football Club Auskick Centre in Brisbane joining the team.

The 2024 Team NAB AFL Auskick coaches Nick Daicos and Katie Brennan encourage all registered Auskickers to enter via submitting a video online for a chance to join the team. They are on the lookout for NAB Auskickers who show teamwork, dedication, and passion!

Selected Auskickers will have the opportunity to invite an Auskick teammate of their choice to join them for a remarkable experience, attending an AFL Grand Final.

Eleven lucky winners will be announced during the Seven Network’s AFL match broadcast, with Jackson being the ninth lucky Auskicker to join the team accompanied by his chosen nominee – his brother, Luca Chamberlain.

Jackson and Luca will join their fellow Team NAB AFL Auskick recruits at the MCG in Melbourne for a once-in-a-lifetime Grand Final experience, where they take centre stage and present the winning grand final team with their premiership medallions.

A mad West Coast Eagles supporter like his dad, Jackson lives and breathes AFL, watching replays of games and match highlights and studying the AFL Live Official App for statistics on a weekly basis. Amazingly, Jack can name each of the AFL grand finalist and premiers since 1989!

Jack also has a goal to get a photo with every current player from every AFL team. He’s up to approximately 200 photos with players spanning nine teams. His love of the game extends to the songs and merchandise – Jack knows every AFL theme and even asked his parents for a guernsey and flag for each of the eighteen teams!

Jackson wears number nine on his guernsey like West Coast stars Harley Reid and Nic Naitanui and loves going to NAB AFL Auskick alongside his younger brother, Luca. He wants to visit every AFL stadium in Australia and hopes to one day kick 1,000 goals in his professional AFL career like Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin.

As part of being selected as a Team NAB AFL Auskick recruit, Jackson has the chance to be crowned the 2024 NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year which will be announced during Toyota AFL Grand Final Week.

The lucky NAB AFL Auskicker of the Year will receive a remarkable $5,000 prize thanks to NAB and have the privilege of being mentored by an AFL and AFLW player throughout 2025.
