The former Queensland Australian Football Historical Society will unveil its revamped look at their official launch on Friday March 30.
Under a new name, the Queensland Australian Football Forensics (QAFF), the group will continue to preserve the rich history of AFL in Queensland.
The Queensland Australian Football Historical Society was formed in 2008 and has since, as their motto suggests, set to work bringing life to footy’s past.
The group began after a chance meeting between Greg Parker and Murray Bird who were both researching aspects of AFL’s early history in Queensland at the time.
The Forensics hope that the new name will attract recruits sharing an interest in any Queensland AFL history, whether it was one season ago or one hundred seasons ago.
QAFF has a number of interesting research projects underway as well as regular functions planned for the 2012 season.
Anyone interested in joining QAFF is invited to attend their official launch at the Pineapple Hotel, Woolloongabba on Friday at 6pm sporting their favourite team colours.
To RSVP to the launch or for further information, contact Robert Allen ([email protected] or 0437280104) or Greg Parker ([email protected] or 0432791198).
