Seventeen community football precincts across Queensland have successfully received funding from the latest Gambling Community Benefit Fund, which closed in February.
The total funding achieved for AFL-related projects was $424,584.95. This is the largest pool of funding that the AFL community has achieved in a single round of the quarterly funding programme.
Several exciting projects will now proceed in coming months. These include female change rooms at Hervey Bay Bombers, new goal nets at Park Ridge & Fassifern Falcons, much-awaited oval irrigation at Kawana Eagles and new oval fences at Griffith Moorooka & Wilston Grange.
AFL Queensland congratulates the successful recipients and encourages all football clubs with potential projects to contact our Infrastructure and Planning team for support, on (07) 3033 5409.
