In 2016 Queensland has expanded International Women’s Day celebrations into a week-long, state-wide series of events and activities called Queensland Women’s Week. The week will recognise and celebrate the achievements of all Queensland women.
International Women’s Day, held globally on 8 March each year, is a highlight of Queensland Women’s Week. On that day, Queensland women join millions of others throughout the world to celebrate the economic, political and social achievements of women in the past, present and future.
