The Under 16 State Academy Championships got under way at Yeronga today
Brisbane Lions Assistant Coach Mark Harvey was a special guest speaker at the 2012 Under 16 State Academy Championships Breakfast Launch at Yeronga today.
The former Essendon premiership player gave a great insight to all regional and State Under 16 coaches as to what AFL Clubs are looking for and the qualities future draftees will need to cut the mustard at AFL level.
The Championships kicked off after the launch with some quality football and Day 1 winners were the Northern Raiders, Suncoast Power and Gold Coast South.
There is still 1 game to be played in 1st round of the Championships with Country Kookaburras taking on PNG at Yeronga at 1.00 pm on Wednesday
