Kenmore SHS: Lions Cup Div 3 Premiers

Kenmore State High are AFL Queensland’s latest school premiers.

Competition newcomers Kenmore State High have taken out the Brisbane Lions Division Three title for 2012.

A competition open to all State High Schools in the South East corner, it is the only opportunity for boys in Years 10-12at these schools to get a taste of full rules AFL for the year.

Kenmore State High, along with Kedron State High, came in to the competition after their qualifying carnival day was washed out in March.

Up against a much improved The Gap State High, the three teams played an entertaining day of footy.

But it was Kenmore State High (pictured), coached by Will Fozard, who proved the best team on the day with Kedron finishing second and The Gap a respectable third.

Results were as follows:

GAME 1:
Kenmore 6.9.45 def The Gap 2.2.14
