The final Level 1 Coaching course for the year to be held on Sunday.
The final Level 1 Coaches course for community coaches will be run this Sunday at AFL Queensland Administration and Training Centre, Yeronga.
Courses for junior, youth and senior coaches will all be available on the day, and coaches will hold their accreditation until 2016.
The course will commence from 8.30 (sign in) then 9 am to 3.30 pm. Coaching needing to update (2012) their accreditation can do so until lunch time.
Sunday’s course will be the final chance for coaches to accredit, with 23 courses already held this year.
Coaches who do not complete the accreditation could face sanctions from competition managers.
AFL Queensland Coaching and Volunteer Manager, Jack Barry, said the courses had gone without a hitch in 2013.
”We have had a great response from around the state this year as coaches are more diligent in keeping their accreditations in check,” he said.
“Players and clubs deserve the rights to have competent and accredited people in charge of their teams and Queensland coaches in general have been good in this area.”
Barry said there was plenty of work done to make sure the coaches get the best out of the courses, uin return for their invaluable services to clubs.
“We get outstanding service from our volunteer coaches, so we look to make sure we have good presenters”.
