The annual November Brisbane AFL Level 2 Coaching Youth and Senior course accreditation for 2023/ 24 will be facilitated on Saturday 18th of November at Iona College from 8.30am – 5.00pm
Registrations are now open for all head coaches and assistant coaches who facilitate both male and female programs to attend the course from clubs and schools.
The course is designed to provide progressive youth (U12-U17) and senior coaches (U18-Open) the opportunity to develop and learn about modern coaching in our game.
The course is listed as 2023/ 24 – QLD Level 2

Course cost is $300 (Inc GST)
This accreditation is delivered in Queensland. To complete the accreditation coaches are to complete the below requirements.
Attend 1 full day face to face session.
Complete the pre course Coaching Philosophy online module.
Complete an in season mentoring task (completed by end of the 2024 season)
Course topics include.
– Create a Vision and Philosophy Program Philosophy -values, vision, purpose. The way we play.
– Shape the Environment Principles of Planning
– Develop Team Culture Communication and connection
– Coaching at Training Developing Training Activities & Facilitating Learning
– Game Day Coaching Strategies and Tactics Match Day Coaching
– Reflective Practice Program and self-reflection, mentor support
Criteria for Selection: Coaches must hold a current AFL Foundation Coach accreditation in the appropriate age group they are coaching in 2023, for a minimum of 1 season/12 months and be a registered member with Coach AFL.
