AFL Queensland is taking expressions of interest for the level two coaching course, set to take place from the 18th to the 19th of November at Bond University on the Gold Coast.
In order to be eligible to take part in the course, coaches need to be actively coaching a team at under 14s level or higher and have had a level one accreditation for over 12 months.
The course, which usually only occurs once a year in November, includes tasks that are required to be completed over the following season.
Participants focus on team objectives, coaching philosophy and assessment activities, as well as take part in a mentor program and track their progress in a diary throughout the year.
Level two is the highest level of AFL coach accreditation offered within Queensland.
“Assistant coaches from both the Brisbane Lions and Gold Coast SUNS will be presenting, as well as some other guest speakers which is fantastic,” said AFL Queensland Coaching and Volunteers Coordinator Luke Carroll.
“It’s also a great facility, Bond Uni down on the Gold Coast, so we’re looking forward to it.”
