The Lions players spread far and wide last week to visit a range of junior football clubs as part of the Lions in YOUR Club community program.
The initiative helps support junior clubs located within the Lions’ Academy recruiting zone, by facilitating fundraising initiatives and providing exclusive access to players.
The Club also offered ALL 9 and 10-year-old participants a FREE 3-game general admission membership to further fuel their interest in footy.
All other junior participants received a special ticket offer to see the Lions play Melbourne (Round 5) and Gold Coast (Round 15) at the Gabba.
Last week, the players paired up and paid visit to hundreds of budding junior footballers across Brisbane.
The players assisted the local clubs with training, helped run raffles, signed autographs, and answered questions from both the young footballers and their coaches.
Rising Star Sam Mayes seemed to enjoy his first Lions in YOUR Club visit to Redcliffe Junior Football Club alongside Niall McKeever.
“Good to get out to the Redcliffe jnr football club,” Mayes tweeted.
There’s no doubt that the annual player visits are the highlight for all junior clubs who participate in the Lions in YOUR Club program.
