The Brisbane Lions have affirmed their commitment to grassroots football, launching a new series of education workshops aimed at community clubs.
In conjunction with AFL Queensland and the Brisbane Juniors team, the Lions will host the Community Club Masterclass on Monday May 22; a free event for club volunteers looking to up skill and improve their football club.
The Community Club Masterclass is a new concept that Lions Community Programs Coordinator, Lachlan Harris believes will provide great outcomes for AFL volunteers across the South East.
“The Brisbane Lions are really excited about the opportunity to utilise the skillset of our senior staff to benefit community football clubs,” said Harris.
The Community Club Masterclass will touch on brand and marketing, digital and media promotion, sponsor acquisition and partner servicing and financial sustainability.
“It’s an opportunity for us to share knowledge and processes with community clubs and we are confident that club administrators and volunteers will walk away with strategies and ideas they can use to benefit their clubs,” said Harris.
