The Western Magpies have had to put on hold a proposed ‘Battle of the Codes’ evening on Friday 10 September after No.1 drawcard Sam Kekovich pulled out.
Magpies officials confirmed today that Kekovich, who had been booked for the event, had notified the club to advise them that he had double-booked and would not be available.
He was scheduled to debate the virtues of AFL against former NRL star Benny Elias.
Club Development Manager Anthony McDonald said he was working hard to find a replacement and would make a decision by the end of the week.
