All tickets for the March 10 Maroochydore NAB Cup match have been sold.
Tickets for the NAB Cup match between the Brisbane Lions and Carlton to be played at Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex on Saturday afternoon, March 10 have sold out.
No further tickets will be released.
AFL Queensland Acting CEO Mark Browning said …“It’s a great response from the local community and we’re really pleased to be able to bring live AFL to the Coast this year.
“We’re expecting a crowd of 5,000 people for the match and to sell so many tickets in just over two weeks is fantastic. It certainly sends a strong message about the interest in our game,” he said.
As it’s the first AFL game on the Coast, AFL Queensland staff have worked hard with stakeholders including Council and the Police to ensure all aspects of the event operation are smooth and successful. The venue capacity was set at 5,000 people for public comfort and good viewing.
Local senior and junior AFL Clubs will also benefit, with the Maroochy North Shore Roos seniors operating the bars and Sunshine Coast Juniors staffing the canteens. All profits from the sale of the food and drinks will go back into supporting local football.
