The schedule for the 2016 AFL National Coaching Conference has been released, and it’s first class.
The three-day event, from February 5-7, will be held at Domain Stadium, Perth, and is open to all coaches.
The presenters include National Academy Coach Brenton Sanderson, 223 game AFL player Luke Ball, 323 game St Kilda player Nathan Burke, South Fremantle Assistant Coach and Melbourne Women’s Team Coach Michelle Cowan, and Queensland’s own Adrian Fletcher and Craig Starcevich.
West Coast Eagles Coach Adam Simpson and AFL General Football Manager of Football Operations will open the course on Friday night, with a further 35 presentations across the weekend.
Topics covered include performance psychology, coaching team defence, leadership and communication, game sense and decision-making, effective kicking, coaching stoppages and junior skill development sessions.
The course will conclude on Sunday with a keynote address by Rick Charlsesworth -a high performance consultant – on exceptional leadership.
