All seven Queensland NEAFl clubs have signed up to the Quality Club Program.
The NEAFL clubs have shown their support for the Quality Club Program, with all reaching Bronze or Silver accreditation.
As the premier competition in Queensland, Queensland’s seven NEAFL clubs were unanimous in their support for the program.
The Quality Club Program is a club accreditation program designed to recognise clubs with high quality administration and to serve as a benchmark for clubs to reach by improving their club management with AFLQ programs and initiatives.
To reach a Bronze level of accreditation, the minimum benchmark in the program, clubs must reach particular standards based on key criteria such as incorporation, coach accreditation, club financial budgets and liquor licensing.
The accreditation also provides guidelines around working with children, match day checklists and AFLQ policies.
Silver accreditation recognises clubs who reach an excellent level of club management, against key criteria such as strategic planning, volunteer management initiatives, environment programs such as AFL Kids First and Umpiring is Everyone’s Business, and participation in AFLQ programs.
Community Program Coordinator Aaron Hall said most Queensland clubs should be able to meet the Bronze standard easily.
“Every club in Queensland should either be meeting the Bronze standard or only require minor tinkering to achieve Bronze level accreditation,” he said.
“It is very achievable.”
“The silver level takes club management to the next level in professionalism and positive environments. To make this easier on volunteers, we have created all the templates so volunteer need only to download and modify to their club.”
Earlier this month, Caloundra became the first Queensland club to achieve Silver status.
AFL Queensland look forward to community clubs taking up the challenge and joining the NEAFL clubs within this great program.
