Pathways to Care, a leading national NDIS Plan Management service, is the new official naming rights sponsor of the Queensland Wheelchair Football League, which tips off on Sunday May 19.
Entering its second year, the 2024 season sees the return of the inaugural clubs – Morningside
Panthers, Ormeau Bulldogs, Redcliffe Tigers, and Beenleigh Buffaloes – all vying for the
championship title, with Morningside the reigning champions.
The best players from this mixed competition will then take part in the annual two-part QClash series, also supported by Pathways to Care.
After a successful inaugural season, AFL Queensland’s Growth, Participation and Operations Manager said they were pleased to have Pathways to Care as naming rights sponsor.
“The first season of the Pathways to Care Queensland Wheelchair Football League did not disappoint, and we are expecting the skill level and rivalry to go up another notch in 2024,” he said.
“I would like to thank Pathways to Care for their unwavering support of this competition and we look forward to watching AFL Wheelchair grow in 2024.”
Pathways to Care General Manager Sam Winzar echoed this sentiment, expressing pride
in the partnership.
“We are honoured to serve as the naming sponsor for the Pathways to Care Queensland Wheelchair Football League for 2024 and 2025,” he said.
“Our collaboration with AFL Queensland reflects our commitment to supporting the development of AFL Wheelchair, recognising the immense benefits participation in sport brings to individuals,
particularly those with disabilities, across Queensland and beyond.”
