Find out more about Coolangatta president, Peter Damaskinos.
Coolangatta President Peter Damaskinos came up to the Gold Coast 24 years ago and loved it so much he stayed.
Over time, he became involved with the Coolangatta Blues and this year took back the presidency reins, after previously holding the position from 2007-11.
In his time with the Blues, Damaskinos says seeing the seniors and reserves grab a premiership double was the highlight of his tenure.
His favourite part of community footy is meeting a lot of good people, and he finds the game itself spectacular, invigorating and frustrating.
A Collingwood fan, Nathan Buckley and Scott Pendlebury are his favourite player and coach at the moment.
He reckons the Allied Pickfords Cup race is wide open this year, with pretty much anyone in line to raise the flag for 2013.
The man with the enviable curls says people might be surprised to know that his hair is all natural (no perm in sight!).
Peter’s dream job would be as an airline pilot and travelling is on the top of his bucket list.
If he got a chance to travel, his first stop would be somewhere in the Mediterranean.
His favourite food is chicken and, maybe unsurprisingly, he would whip up satay chicken if he got a shot at a masterchef crown.
He’s a bit of a gang fan, at least in his viewing choices, with his favourite movie being Scarface and his top TV pick, Sons of Anarchy.
Outside of footy, Peter loves horse racing and cricket.
