SUMMARY
It’s not the only fixture this weekend where teams played each other in Round 21 as these two battle it out for the second week running.
Palm Beach Currumbin has a lot of depth in its line-up and will be aided by a full range of players at the selection table on the back of its Seniors advancing to the finals.
Mt Gravatt on the other hand may benefit from the Reserves missing finals but does appear to lack that strong power forward who can take the game away from a historically tight defence of the Lions.
How much do we read into last week’s performance? Perhaps very little but PBC is the second-best attacking team in the competition and has kicked over 80 goals against teams in the top six this year, or four goals per game on average better than the Vultures.
The draw between the pair was the difference in the end for the Lions making the top two; and it will be doing everything in its power to extend its stay in the finals race. IF Mt Gravatt can keep it low-scoring and under 10 goals; this could get interesting.

SUMMARY
What a season both these two teams have endured.
Maroochydore has been the only team to beat premiership favourites and Minor Premiers Broadbeach, twice yet in the shadows of the end of the home and away season; a traditionally low-scoring Mt Gravatt put 100 points on its defence.
Morningside beat fellow premiers contender Aspley, put triple figure scores on eventual finalists Maroochydore and Mt Gravatt, yet dropped games to Sherwood and Redland-Victoria Point who finished with four wins each in the bottom two positions on the ladder.
Both teams have the capacity to play Jekyll and Hyde, hot one week, cooler the next and vice versa which makes this contest extremely exciting.
If one game across all six is going to go the distance this weekend, this is the contest that will get there and picking a winner ahead of time is like picking the winning lottery ticket and makes for a must-see spectacle.
With both teams having its Senior teams out of the finals race; the availability of some big names could be the difference in who wins this contest.
