This year’s Scorpions were presented with their jumpers this week.
This year’s crop of Queensland Scorpions received their jumpers at the annual presentation night on Tuesday.
Brisbane Lion Dayne Zorko and Gold Coast SUNS’ Clay Cameron and Andrew Boston, all of whom are former Scorpions, were on hand to present the jumpers on the night.
Morningside veterans, Kent Abey and Nick Tomlinson spoke on the night about the role of the NEAFL in the Queensland footy landscape as well.
As well as an opportunity to congratulate each of the 2013 Queensland Scorpions representatives, the Presentation Dinner gave the players a chance to thank their families for all of their support.
Aspley’s Isaac Conway was announced captain of the under-18 Scorpions side for the upcoming national titles, on the night.
The Under-18 Scorpions’ 2013nationals campaign officially kicks off in Hobart on Saturday June 22, with their opening Division Two clash against Tasmania.
Queensland’s Young Scorpions will compete at the under-16 national titles, in Sydney, starting on Sunday July 7.
Three Queenslanders – Jason Lee, Calem Volker and Mabior Chol – will be competing in the championships as part of the World XVIII as well.
