Round 2 this week will see teams wanting to get on track for the season, after a few unexpected losses last week the competition is buzzing.
Round two will see Alex Hills take on Kedron at home. Following a loss to Aspley Hornets in round 1 the Bombers will want to make the best of this game going into the Easter break.Coming off a solid win against Wynnum in round 1 the Lions will be looking to build on that, Alex Hills will be confident that Nathan Burgess can continue his dominant form, while Matt Curtis and Zac Robertson can put a winning score on the board for the Lions
The second game of the weekend will be Wyynum and Coorparoo Kings going head to head at Kianawah Road. The Kings showed plenty of heart to beat the Bears in their contest last week. Wynnum on the other hand, have inaccurate kicking to blame for their 11 point loss to Kedron in round 1. If they are going to trouble this genuine premiership contender, the Vikings will need to have their kicking boots on after finishing up with a loss last week.
The Robina Roos will play host to Red Lions 1 in what should prove to be an interesting match. If Josh Murray keeps his form from last week he will be a handful for the Red Lions backline, Red Lions had the Bye in round 1 this will be their first outing for 2012, it will be interesting to see how they will go this year after playing in last year’s grand final.
In the only game left, Kenmore will host Yeronga Sth Brisbane at Western Districts Oval. M.Brown Kicked 6 for Yeronga Sth Brisbane in their opening match last week , Kenmore will need to watch him if they are to stay with them in this game, Kenmore were good last week in their loss to the reigning premiers , Tim Plummer 3 goals was a positive sign in a close opening game for the Bears. This will definitely be one to look forward to as the SEQAFL Div 2 season starts to take shape.
