STATE WOMEN’S COACH ADVERTISED

AFL Qld are looking for expressions of interest for Head Coach, Assistant Coach and Manager for the State Women’s Team competing at the National Championships to be held in Adelaide in July 2011.

Time commitment will involve minimum weekly trainings from February through to June as well as attendance at training camps, State Championships and practice games. All positions are voluntary positions.

The successful applicant for the Head Coaching Position should be:

Current Level 2 AFL Coach (minimum)

Good Communicator

Awareness of the female football landscape in Qld

Ability to manage staff effectively

Coached a female team (not essential but desirable)

The successful applicant for the Assistant Coaching Position should be:

Current Level 1 Senior Coach

Good Communicator

Ability to work in a team environment

Must be available to coach a regional team in State Championships

Coach a female team (not essential but desirable)

Sports Training qualification (desirable)

The successful applicant for the Managerial Position should:

Experience with managing teams (female management desirable)

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to work people of different ages, cultures and personalities

Sports Training qualfication (desirable)
