The final match of the APM Inclusion League QClash between the Brisbane Lions and the Gold Coast SUNS was held at the Maroochydore Multisports Complex last weekend. With the Brisbane Lions leading the series by 20 points, the Gold Coast SUNS needed at least a 21-point victory to clinch the overall series.
The SUNS started strong, leading by 17 points at halftime. Although the Lions narrowed the gap to 15 points heading into the final term, the SUNS proved too powerful, ultimately winning 6.12 (48) to 4.2 (26). This 22-point victory not only secured the match but also the APM Inclusion QClash series in thrilling fashion.
Wade Sargent was named Best on Ground, showcasing an outstanding performance. The game also served as an opportunity for players to make their case for selection in the Queensland inclusion side for next month’s Toyota AFL Open.
Both teams delivered an unforgettable performance, making this QClash series one to remember.
