The state’s next crop of female stars will be on display at the 2017 AFL Queensland Under 17 Youth Girls State Championships which kick off at Leyshon Park, Yeronga from Thursday October 19, to Sunday October 22.
Representative teams from Brisbane South, Brisbane North, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Northern Rivers, North Queensland, Central Queensland, Darling Downs and PNG will compete in two pools.
Pool matches are fixtured from Thursday to Saturday, with cross-pool finals on Sunday.
The Brisbane Lions AFLW team will feature in a special presentation to teams on Sunday afternoon.
