Mt Gravatt’s two big charity events over the next fortnight continue to gain momentum, but bookins are still available for both.
Tuesday 13 July 2010
Places have been filling fast for Mt Gravatt’s charity golf day next Monday, while prizes have been revealed as part of a Ladies Lunch at the club on the Saturday of the big clash with Morningside.
The Vultures charity Golf Day on Monday 19 July will raise funds in support of bowel cancer awareness and research, while the Ladies Lunch on Saturday 31 July is in aid of young women with intellectual disabilities.
Bowel cancer awareness is particularly close to the Vultures, with player Fergus Reid having fought bowel cancer, with his father David at the helm of the club as president until recently.
The charity golf day takes place at the Pacific course in Carindale and the cost is $95 and includes green fees, a motorized cart, pre and post game meals, and drinks.
Sponsor opportunities are also available. To book, please call Tim Douge on 0409 315 836.
The Vultures play Morningside at Dittmer Park on Saturday 31 July in a replay of last year’s QAFL grand final, and the lunch will take place from 12pm-2pm.
The cost of the lunch is $50 per head, which includes a three-course meal and entertainment including special guest speaker Sylvia Pesch and young singer Eliza Lake.
There will be the opportunity to win some great prizes including a Siana Valley
pool room VIP pass for 10 people, a portrait photography package, beauty
products, vouchers and more.
The lunch will help support Miraa House, a post-school, skill development day program aimed at women aged 18-30.
Bookings can be made with Paul on 0418 728 182 or Linda on 3376 7966.
