The Wests Juniors Australian Football Club will celebrate the club’s 90th anniversary in 2018, marking close to a century of football in the city’s western suburbs.
To commemorate the milestone, the Bulldogs will host an anniversary gala dinner on May 12 at Hillstone St Lucia.
University of Southern Queensland researcher and former Wests Juniors player and coach, Dr Geoff Woolcock, will be the key note speaker on the night and will be accompanied by other various guests and speakers.
The night’s festivities include a two-course dinner, a complimentary bottle of red and white wine for each table, tea and coffee and entertainment. Additional drinks are also available via the Hillstone St Lucia bar on a cash consumption basis.
A complimentary drink and nibbles upon arrival are also provided.
Wests Juniors’ treasurer, Ian Judson, said the gala is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the history and present of the club.
“We look forward to seeing you there on what a fantastic night of entertainment and an opportunity should be to mingle with club members both past and present,” he said.
Wests Juniors competes in the AFL Brisbane juniors and youth competitions, operating with the support of volunteers and parents in all roles.
Tickets for the anniversary gala are $110 per head until March 29 and $125 from thereon until the night.
