Wilston Grange QAFLW Program is seeking expressions of interest for experienced Women’s football coaches in the following roles for the 2023 QAFLW season:
- Head Coach
- Senior Assistant Coaches
- Under 17 Coach
The roles will all form part of the QAFLW program structure and work within the values system of the program and report to the Coaching Coordinator and Head of Football.
The WG QAFLW program will have a measured and considered professional approach moving forward as the Club looks to improve its position in Queensland’s premier Women’s AFL competition. Having won a premiership recently in 2018 and multiple players drafted though the development pathway, the Club is aiming to renew the successful on-field performances paired with the development off-field of our players and coaches. This sustained approach and long term vision for the QAFLW program will ensure we continue to develop our players as athletes but also in their profession and ambitions off field.
All roles will have a strong focus on player development and the Club will provide a professional and supported environment for coaches of all levels.
All coaching applicants will be considered with the following experience viewed favourably:
- Women’s Senior coaching experience at QAFLW level
- Any involvement in Academy Development programs
- Any teaching experience coaching AFL in curriculum
- Division 1 Senior coaching experience
Essential items for these roles will be:
- Level 2 AFL coaching accreditation
- Blue Card (or ability to obtain)
