BOND UNIVERSITY TOUR
Andrew Demetriou and Michael Conlan met with Meet with Professor Tim Brailsford, Vice- Chancellor and President of the Gold Coast’s Bond University before touring the Universities sporting facilities.
SCHOOLS OF EXCELLENCE MEETING
Palm Beach Secondary High School was the venue for a meeting between Andrew Demetriou, Michael Conlan, AFL Queensland Staff and Schools of Excellence principals to discuss program direction.
AFL PLAYGROUND & NAB AFL AUSKICK COMBINE
With Gold FM broadcasting live from 3pm and free activities in the AFL Playground, the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre was a hive of activity leading up to the main event.
A NAB AFL Auskick Combine was included for the first time with 230 Auskickers pre-registering for their chance to experience combine tests including the vertical leap, agility run, handballing and the 20-metre sprint.
NAB AFL National Ambassador Shane Crawford was on hand to provide encouragement for the boys and girls who each received a certificate for completing the testing.
