HIGHLIGHTS:
✏ Played the first North vs. South game in the juniors and seniors.
✏ Played games outside of the main three towns for the first time in a decade with the Childers Showgrounds playing host to the Nth/Sth games and a Bundaberg derby game
✏ Had our first Indigenous Auskick centre with 80+ kids turning up for the first session at Pialba SS
✏ Played the first Women’s club competition match on Anzac Day along with an A grade double header
✏ Dean Backwell won the Stedman Medal after being bridesmaid on three occasions.
✏ Brisbane Lions’ mascot Bernie “Gabba” Vegas made his first ever trip out to
Monto, Mundubbera and Gayndah in the Nth Burnett area
✏ Calem Volker played at the U16 Nationals for the World XVIII side
✏ Attended the Gabba with 60+ kids for the NAB AFL Auskick grid games
✏ Attended the Gabba for female and Indigenous themed round centre grid games with 16 kids on both occasions
✏ Terry Webb, president for the last four years, and Billy Moorehead Snr, long serving umpire, both announced retirements.
✏ 11.09% growth overall in Wide Bay in 2013.
