WELCOME FROM AFL QUEENSLAND
Queensland sports fans can look forward to a feast of football today.
Four great games on the one day, in one location, is a first for representative football in Queensland.
After losing by a by six-points last year, South Queensland will be out for redemption in their game one clash against North Queensland.
Game two sees Queensland take on Goliath in the form of a very strong Victoria Metro. This is a big test for the Queenslanders and I know they will give their all.
The NEAFL were beaten by the Tasmania State League last year and will be desperate to reverse that result.
Our Women’s team played a brilliant game against Tasmania last year, on their home turf. They came home with the win and will be keen
to continue that winning form.
This is fantastic occasion and a real celebration of Australian football.
I wish all teams the very best for an enjoyable day and thank all the officials and umpires and volunteers for participating in this year’s carnival.
