Queensland had the majority of play in the first term but through dogged defence from Anderson (NSWACT) in particular they were unable to capitalise on their forward efforts.
Stephanie Powers, captain of NSWACT, led by example. frequently laying strong tackles that spilled the ball free but it was Qld who jumped on these opportunities.
The second quarter proved one way traffic for Queensland despite some close checking by the NSWACT defenders.
Selina Puruntatameri (Qld) often found space to drive her team forward. Queensland starting running in lines ably lead by Megan Hunt and combined as a team to double their 1st term score.
Hunt (Qld) continued to feed the ball accurately to her forwards where Collins was lively.
Kirsty Church (NSWACT) tried hard in the backline but didn’t receive enough help.
Queensland dominated the stoppages and were able to pile on three goals in the third term.
Casey Byrne (NSWACT) tried to get her team into the game working hard on the wing.
Anderson upped her energy in the final term and provided drive.
NSWACT scored their first goal in the final term after some hard work from their forwards who were first to the ball.
NSWACT lifted the anti in the final term and made life difficult for the Qld team finishing off strongly to set up a good crossover finals contest with AFL Vic Development.
Taylor Harris (pictured) was named best for the Queenslanders.
