P. 9
2013 was another strong year for partnerships, key businesses and suppliers within the AFL Queensland environment.
AFLQ continued business partnerships with Alpha Sport and AFL Sportsready while Hart Sport increased its partnership with AFLQ by entering into a Licensed Apparel Agreement.
Coca-Cola Amatil (CCA) continued its association with AFLQ in continuing the CCA Loyalty Program, which allows clubs to acquire points for their CCA purchases and redeem these points to purchase equipment and resources.
KooGa maintained its commitment to AFLQ with the continuing sponsorship of the AFL Queensland Talent Program.
Allied Pickfords became the official sponsor of the SEQAFL Division 1 competition, with teams competing for the Allied Pickfords Cup.
Traders Hotels and Turf Irrigation Services (TIS) sponsored the NEAFL for 2013.
The Pineapple Hotel continued its long involvement with AFL Queensland by sponsoring the SEQAFL Women’s League for 2013.
Get Wines Direct sponsored the Queensland Women’s team, the Sunfires, in 2013.
Goal post manufacturer PILA and Sherrin also continued their involvement with AFL Queensland.
Following the departure of Kombat as one of AFLQ’s Licensed Apparel partners, a number of new agreements were entered into with Canterbury, VS Sports and Star Athletic.
The first Community Expo Day was held at AFLQ in October. This provided apparel suppliers and clubs an opportunity to meet face to face and source the best deal for the provision of on and off-field apparel for 2014. Some fantastic deals were offered by the suppliers and a number of clubs made the most of the opportunity. This will now be an annual event and will only get bigger and bigger with each passing year.
